The answer was never you. These dogs were bred to guard flocks on French mountainsides without human supervision, and they have never forgotten that job description. They make decisions. They patrol. They position themselves between you and anything they find suspicious, which is everything. But then you'll find yours sprawled across your entire bed like a polar bear rug, one massive paw draped over your arm, and that deep calm settles over the room.
