Shorkie

You're sitting on the couch when your Shorkie launches themselves onto your lap, circles twice, and collapses into a ball so small you briefly forget they're a whole entire dog. They look up at you with those enormous dark eyes framed by a scruffy little face that can't decide if it wants to be a Shih Tzu or a Yorkie — so it just became the cutest possible version of both. They've got the Shih Tzu's ancient royal entitlement and the Yorkie's terrier fire crammed into maybe seven pounds of silky, slightly scruffy attitude. Your Shorkie is convinced they run the household, and the unsettling part is they're right. They picked their favorite spot on the couch before you did. They trained you to carry them when the sidewalk is too cold, too hot, or just not up to their standards. And when they tilt that little head to the side and one ear flops while the other stands up, you will agree to absolutely anything they want.
